Why Eureka! you might ask?

Well, when Archimedes first figured out how to tell if something was pure gold he cried out "Eureka!" because it was such a wonderful discovery. Also, when a band of miners rebelled against authority in Ballarat in December 1854, it was at a place called the Eureka Stockade.

These two, seemingly unrelated, events caught our imagination as a name for our quartet. We love the identification as an Australian group, we don't mind being a bit rebellious and singing with Sweet Adelines is definitely a Eureka! experience for all of us.

We favour tunes that speak emotionally but simply, we like to tackle new material and try things a bit out of the ordinary and we like music with a bit of class and a good beat.

That's us, and Eureka! pretty much sums us up.
