Andiamo
Andiamo quartet formed in August 2008. Andiamo means "lets go" in Italian, and for these women, that involves lots of driving as they live between 3 and 5 hours from each other.
Since they started competing, Andiamo have placed in the top 4th, 3rd and most recently 2nd place in the 2011 national competition.
Their repertoire consists of a variety of styles from jazz, hip hop to Eric Clapton and Billy Joel hits.
Jill Harris (tenor) is the musical director of the Murrumbidgee Magic chorus in Wagga Wagga. Tracey Cam (lead) is the musical director of the Bathurst Panorama Chorus. Lea Baker (baritone) is the musical director of the Endeavour Harmony Chorus in Sydney.
Having 3 directors in a quartet comes with its own challenges. Luckily Pia Wikstrom (bass), the only non-director, just goes with the flow and occasionally throws in a response such as "EN VALITA" which means "WHATEVER!" in Finnish.
