Andiamo
Andiamo quartet formed in August 2008. Andiamo means "lets go" in Italian, and for these women, that involves lots of driving as they live between 3 and 5 hours from each other.
Jill Harris (tenor) is the musical director of the Murrumbidgee Magic chorus in Wagga Wagga. Tracey Cam (lead) is the musical director of the Bathurst Panorama Chorus is Bathurst. Lea Baker (baritone) is the musical director of the Endeavour Harmony Chorus in Sydney.
Having 3 directors in a quartet comes with its own challenges. Luckily Pia Wikstrom (bass), the only non-director, just goes with the flow and occasionally throws in a response such as "EN VALITA" which means "WHATEVER!" in Finnish.
Andiamo was thrilled to place 3rd in their first national competition appearance, held in May 2009 in Hobart, Tasmania.
